Our community initiatives reflect our belief that sustainability extends beyond buildings. By supporting environmental, educational, and community support programs, we help create healthier communities and a more sustainable future.
Community engagement strengthens the places where we live and work while supporting environmental stewardship and people-centered efforts. Since the launch of our Planet Passionate efforts, each facility completes at least four sustainability projects annually.

Our Little Rock team members volunteered their time and resources to support a Habitat for Humanity project, contributing to the construction of a new home for a family in the local community.
supporting global ocean cleanup efforts
4ocean has removed more than 50 million pounds of plastic and trash from the world's oceans, rivers, and coastlines, marking one of the largest verified ocean cleanup milestones in history.
delivering medical supplies to underserved communities
Our team volunteered with Project C.U.R.E., a nonprofit dedicated to delivering life-saving medical supplies to hospitals and clinics. The volunteers worked to sort, package, and prepare donated medical supplies for international distribution.
engaging students in educational initiatives
Our East Stroudsburg team celebrated Manufacturing Week by welcoming 16 students from the Planet Passionate–sponsored STEAM Club at Arlington Heights Elementary. During their visit, students in grades 1-5 designed and drafted their own floorplans and elevations, explored the AWIP VR showroom, learned about sustainability and circularity and discovered AWIP's InnovaCELLTM Technology. The day concluded with a hands-on activity where students built a mini assembly line to package their own gift bags, giving them a fun introduction to teamwork and real-world manufacturing processes.
supporting animal welfare
AWIP donated excess panels to create insulated shelters for feral cats in Caledon, Ontario, and organized a supply drive at our Vacaville plant, where employees collected and donated supplies to the local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) shelter. By contributing pet food, treats, cleaning supplies, cozy beds and play toys that provide comfort and enrichment, the AWIP team played a vital role in supporting the SPCA's mission to care for these animals and improve their well-being.
